15 Days Easy Rider From Hoian To Pakse This expanded 15-day, 1,350-kilometer itinerary stretches deeper into the heart of the Vietnamese Central Highlands before crossing into Laos to explore both the jungle valleys of Attapeu and the serene paradise of the 4,000 Islands (Si Phan Don).

Day 1: Hoi An to Kham Duc (~140 km) ( L, D )

  • Riding: 8:00 AM our team pick you up from your hotel in Hoian - Escape the coast on Route 14E, climbing rapidly into the Truong Son mountain range.
  • Highlight: Riding parallel to the roaring Dak Mi River through dense bamboo forests.

Day 2: Kham Duc to Kon Tum (~170 km) ( B , L, D )

  • Riding: Cruise the high-elevation concrete sectors of the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
  • Highlight: Cross the majestic Dak Po Koko bridge and explore the traditional Bahnar communal Rong houses in Kon Tum.

Day 3: Kon Tum to Pleiku (~50 km) ( B , L, D )

  • Riding: A short, breezy morning ride south into the heart of Gia Lai province.
  • Highlight: Walk the shores of To Nung (Sea Lake), a dramatic, water-filled volcanic crater lake surrounded by pine forests.

Day 4: Pleiku Rest & Coffee Culture Day

  • Activity: Rest your body. Explore Pleiku's famous basalt-soil coffee plantations, taste authentic Vietnamese weasel coffee, and visit the Phu Cuong Waterfall.

Day 5: Pleiku to Mang Den (~100 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: Head Northeast up winding, misty mountain passes to a hidden highland town often called the "Second Da Lat."
  • Highlight: Enjoy the cool mountain air, pine forests, and a quiet evening by Dak Ke Lake.

Day 6: Mang Den back to Kon Tum (~60 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: A smooth, descending ride back to Kon Tum valley via national route 24.
  • Highlight: Visit the historic, century-old Kon Tum Wooden Church built entirely without nails.

Day 7: Kon Tum to Ngoc Hoi / Bo Y Border (~70 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: Short afternoon ride to the border gate town to prep your machinery and paperwork.
  • Highlight: Ride up to the "Indochina Border Tripoint" where you can stand in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia simultaneously

Day 8: Border Crossing: Ngoc Hoi (VN) to Attapeu (LA) (~120 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: Clear the Bo Y / Phou Keua Border. Coast down the remote, sweeping asphalt curves of Route 18B into Laos.
  • Highlight: Watch the landscape shift into wide, untouched tropical forests as you enter Attapeu province.

Day 9: Attapeu to Champasak (~220 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: A long endurance run across the flat southern plains of Laos heading West toward the Mekong River.
  • Highlight: Watching the sunset over the ancient Khmer temple ruins of Wat Phou, a UNESCO World Heritage site older than Angkor Wat.

Day 10: Champasak to 4,000 Islands / Don Det (~135 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: Head straight South along Route 13, running parallel to the Cambodian border.
  • Highlight: Park the motorbikes on the river bank, load onto a wooden longtail boat, and cross over to the relaxed island of Don Det.

Day 11: 4,000 Islands Rest Day( B , L, D )

  • Activity: No motorbike engines today. Rent a bicycle to explore the old French colonial railway tracks, view the thunderous Liphi Waterfalls, and take a boat to spot rare Irrawaddy river dolphins.

Day 12: 4,000 Islands Exploration (Khone Phapheng)( B , L, D )

  • Activity: Take a short boat ride back to the mainland to see Khone Phapheng, the largest waterfall by water volume in Southeast Asia. Spend another quiet evening relaxing on the island.

Day 13: 4,000 Islands to Tad Lo (~210 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: Ride North and ascend back up into the cool, lush elevations of the Bolaven Plateau.
  • Highlight: Arriving at the peaceful river village of Tad Lo, known for its three cascading waterfalls.

Day 14: Tad Lo to Pakse via Paksong (~120 km)( B , L, D )

  • Riding: Cruise the famous Bolaven Coffee Loop. The roads are wide, smooth, and highly scenic.
  • Highlight: Witness Tad Fane, a massive twin-stream waterfall plunging 120 meters down into a sheer jungle canyon.

Day 15: Pakse Departure( B  )

  • Activity: Enjoy a morning ride along the Mekong River, hand back your motorcycle keys and gear to your Easy Rider crew, and catch your onward flight or bus.
