An 5-day Siem Reap to Ha Tien "Easy Rider" route covers roughly 500 km of rural backroads and dirt tracks. It immerses you in the heart of rural Khmer life, traversing ancient bridges, stilt villages, and coastal routes.An Easy Rider motorcycle journey from Siem Reap down to the coastal town of Ha Tien (the Vietnam border) covers approximately 460 to 500 kilometers. An optimal 5-day route balance focuses on escaping heavy highway traffic, experiencing rural Cambodian culture, and riding scenic secondary paved roads and dirt tracks through the Cardamom foothills and southern coast. 

Day 1: Siem Reap to Kampong Chhnang (The Pottery Town) ( L,  D)
  • Distance: ~130 km 
  • Morning: Leave the temples of Siem Reap behind. Avoid National Highway 6 by having your Easy Rider guide navigate the rural red-dirt trails running along the eastern side of the Tonle Sap Lake. Ride past stilt-house villages, local rice fields, and pagodas. 
  • Afternoon: Cross over to Kampong Chhnang via secondary rural tarmac. Visit the unique floating villages on the river and explore the traditional clay pottery workshops where local artisans still shape vessels using ancient techniques.
  • Overnight: Kampong Chhnang (Riverside guesthouse).
Day 2: Kampong Chhnang to Phnom Penh via Oudong Mountain (B, L, D )
  • Distance: ~100 km
  • Morning: Ride south along quiet rural roads running parallel to the Tonle Sap River. Arrive at Oudong Mountain, the ancient capital of Cambodia. Park the bikes and walk up the stairs to explore the sacred stupas holding the remains of past Khmer kings, enjoying panoramic views of the countryside.
  • Afternoon: Complete the short ride into the capital, Phnom Penh. Spend the late afternoon enjoying a sunset cruise or a stroll along the vibrant Phnom Penh Riverside Promenade.
  • Overnight: Phnom Penh. 
Day 3: Phnom Penh to Kampot (The Pepper Capital) (B, L, D )
  • Distance: ~140 km
  • Morning: Head south out of the bustling capital city. Your guide will divert onto National Road 3 or smaller parallel dirt tracks to guide you safely through the scenic Takeo province countryside.
  • Afternoon: Arrive in the sleepy, French-colonial town of Kampot. Ride out into the rural valleys surrounding the town to tour an organic pepper plantation and sample the world-famous Kampot pepper right off the vine.
  • Overnight: Kampot (Riverside bungalow). 
Day 4: Kampot to Bokor National Park & Mountain Loop (B, L, D )
  • Distance: ~80 km (Loop ride)
  • Morning: Gear up for an incredible twisty mountain climb. Ride up the smooth, winding asphalt of Bokor Mountain inside the national park. The temperature drops pleasantly as you ascend through the jungle clouds.
  • Afternoon: Explore the eerie, atmospheric ruins of the abandoned 1920s French colonial hill station, the old Catholic church, and the giant Lok Yeay Mao statue. Take in sweeping cliffside views looking out over the Gulf of Thailand. Ride back down the mountain to relax by the Kampot river at sunset.
  • Overnight: Kampot. 
Day 5: Kampot to Ha Tien Border via Kep (B )
  • Distance: ~60 km
  • Morning: Take a smooth, highly scenic morning ride from Kampot to the quiet colonial coastal town of Kep. Pull your motorbikes right up to the famous Kep Crab Market for an early seafood lunch of fresh blue crab stir-fried with green Kampot pepper.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy a final, easy 30-minute cruise along the salt flats and small coastal fishing villages toward the Prek Chak / Xa Xia (Ha Tien) international border checkpoint. Complete Cambodian customs, say goodbye to your Easy Rider crew, and walk across into Ha Tien, Vietnam. End the tour at the border .
